Peel Regional Police are asking for the public's help identifying suspects after a shooting on Chamney Court in Brampton on Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to the area at about 2:30 p.m. on June 19 after reports of shots fired, according to Peel Regional Police.

Investigators with the 22 Division Criminal Investigative Bureau, which covers Brampton, confirmed that a verbal altercation took place between several people before the shooting.

Police say they believe the incident was targeted and isolated. Still, they are encouraging residents in the area to stay alert and report anything suspicious.

The force did not say whether anyone was injured in the shooting, and no information about possible suspects has been released.

Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to review their dashcam or home security footage from the relevant timeframe and to come forward if it captured any part of what happened.
