Brampton Library has opened registration for its Summer Reading Clubs, inviting kids, teens and adults across the city to make reading part of their summer — and to be entered into prize draws along the way.
Anyone who joins before July 13 will be automatically entered into the library's Early Bird Prize draws, according to a Brampton Library blog post.
Two ways to sign up
The first option is online, through a platform called Beanstack. Readers create an account, join the club and are then set to log their reading, track challenges and enter bi-weekly prize draws.
A single Beanstack account can hold multiple profiles, the library said, with no limit on how many people can be added — making it easy for families and friends to take part together. Each person on the account gets their own dashboard.
The second option is to register in person. Residents can visit any Brampton Library branch and ask a staff member for an activity sheet, then return to the same branch to track and record their progress. Regular tracking earns entries into the bi-weekly and grand prize draws.
Prizes and summer events
A full list of prizes is available on Beanstack, with additional details posted on the Brampton Library website.
Beyond the reading clubs, the library is encouraging residents to fill their calendars with events running all summer at branches across the city, with more information available on its website.
The annual program is open to readers of all ages, whether they've taken part in past summers or are joining for the first time.
Registration remains open beyond the July 13 early bird deadline for those who want to join later in the season, though the automatic early bird entries apply only to those who sign up before that date.
